Highlight of the Month
Las Muertas, to be released in Netflix on September 10th, is based on Jorge Ibargüengoitia’s novel of the same name.
The story fictionalizes the rise of the Baladro sisters, Arcángela and Serafina, who build a criminal empire from their brothels, inspired by the real-life “Las Poquianchis” serial killers of the 1960s.
Acclaimed Mexican filmmaker Luis Estrada directs the series, marking his television directorial debut.
