Since 2020, Cine Casual has brought Latin American cinema to Charlotte, using the power of film to connect cultures, inspire dialogue, and build community.
What began as a grassroots series has grown into the Charlotte Latino Film Festival—the region’s leading celebration of Latino voices in film.
Each April, the festival unites filmmakers, audiences, and partners through screenings, workshops, and conversations that highlight the richness and diversity of our stories. Together, we’re shaping a more inclusive cultural landscape for Charlotte and beyond.
Much more than a movie night
Each film screening is intentionally paired with a pre- or post-film experience, from panel discussions with local leaders to dance and musical performances tied to the film’s themes. When you attend our events, you don’t just watch a movie; you build community by meeting people, discovering Latino artists, and supporting small businesses.
