A Celebration to Remember: The 2025 Charlotte Latino Film Festival

For eight unforgettable days, the Charlotte Latino Film Festival transformed the Queen City into a vibrant hub of powerful storytelling, diverse voices, and communal joy. This wasn’t just a film showcase—it was a celebration of Latin American culture, identity, and the boundless creativity of our filmmakers.
From premieres and live music to artist workshops and family events, the festival brought people together in a way that only art can.
Festival highlights included:
One North American premiere, three East Coast premieres, and one Southeast premiere
Six sold-out screenings—including an encore added by popular demand
A free workshop for local artists on taking a project from idea to distribution
A family-friendly movie screening followed by an interactive bilingual concert
A lively closing celebration with Charlotte’s newest Latin band, Luis Hernandez and Calle Cuba
Special appearances by Colombian actress Majida Issa and director Juan Carlos Mazo, who joined us for two unforgettable audience Q&As
