Since 2020, we’ve organized Charlotte’s Latin American film series, connecting Charlotte’s growing Latino population with high-quality programming that celebrates our cultures, encourages cross-cultural understanding, and fosters a sense of belonging.
In 2024, after three successful editions of film series and an unwavering amount of support, our Latin American film series became the Charlotte Latino Film Festival, celebrating its inaugural edition from April 4 – 14, 2024.
Much more than a movie night
Each film screening is intentionally paired with a pre- or post-film experience, from panel discussions with local leaders to dance and musical performances tied to the film’s themes. When you attend our events, you don’t just watch a movie; you build community by meeting people, discovering Latino artists, and supporting small businesses.
